The Midterm Results Don't Spell Doom
The disappointment among conservatives and Republicans over the midterms is creating a lot of crushed hope and despair. Some see it as proof that we've lost America as we know it forever. I disagree. There are a whole of of reasons to take the opposite outlook.
Our education system is changing. School choice is spreading nationwide. The power of academia and the teacher's unions is eroding rapidly. School boards are being taken back from stealth leftist takeovers. New conservative universities are springing up. As ivy league degrees are revealed to be not worth the paper they're printed upon new educational paradigms are taking hold, including online learning and people valuing trade schools far more.
Another thing to consider is the waning influence of our enemy media. That monopoly on the public narrative are being broken. That's huge. The media is finally realizing that endless Trump bashing is hurting their bottom line. They've been forced into massive widespread layoffs. Their illusion of invincibility's been shattered. They're in survival mode now. For these reasons I think the criticism of the Biden administration and Dem city governments will get much louder and sharper going forward. But it's not going to be enough to save them. Trust in legacy media has been permanently destroyed. Changes in tech also are making them less relevant every day. That can't be stopped.
And Elon Musk buying Twitter is a huge blow to Big Tech. Twitter has become America's public square. As Musk starts to remove bias and censorship from Twitter that opens up the public narrative to the voices that've been suppressed for so long. That makes manipulation of the public's collective mind far harder.
Also we're facing two more years of the Biden administration. Or worse, Harris taking over as Biden becomes too incompetent for the Dems to prop up anymore. Biden was starting to get criticized even by legacy media news outlets right before the election. The people are getting more and more tired of leftist 'governance'.
Then there's the midterms. While everyone is focused on the failure of the 'red wave', they're missing the fact that out of 216 candidates endorsed by Trump, only 19 didn't win. Actual conservatives are also doing well at the state level. The eRepub RINOs are running scared. McCarthy's bid to become Speaker of the House is now very much in doubt though he previously thought it was a lock. Mitch McConnell is facing a conservative revolt as well. The failures in the midterms fall upon these RINO backstabbers. Their days are numbered.
There's more fallout from the midterms. While the abortion issue activated women more than expected there's been a big demographic shift. The Dems are losing Hispanics. Solid Dem districts, especially along our southern border, have flipped to Repubs. The Dem's open border policies have been so destructive that it's created a serious backlash among the people in those regions. I don't think the Dems will be getting Hispanics back. Much the opposite, the bleeding there is quickly getting worse for them.
We must also consider the Senate. If Repubs hold the Senate then our conservative Supreme Court remains secure. This is the greatest check on out of control leftists in power. Even if we lose the Senate it's entirely possible there will be no vacancies to fill on the court in the next two years.
The last item is that America's demographics are changing. The birth rate is down so the average age of America's population, and thus its voters, is getting older. As people get older they frequently get more conservative. I think that's going to affect voting in the not too distant future.
For these reasons I don't share the pessimism. We still have plenty of hope if we just look past the media's (both right and left) doom and gloom narrative. Cynicism, complacency and despair are our real enemies. We only lose if we give up the fight and surrender. America is far too precious to allow ourselves to fall into that pit. Now is the time, more than ever, to go to battle and fight the good fight to win. We need to keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward. Our future depends upon it.
